Commercial Backflow Testing in Denver, CO
A single commercial property can have five or six devices: one on the domestic service, one on the fire line, one on irrigation, and smaller ones on the boiler feed, the soda machine and the ice maker.
Commercial backflow testing means finding all of them, testing each one and getting every report to the utility on time. Missing one device is enough to trigger a violation letter.
Restaurants are a common example. Carbonated drink dispensers need protection because CO2 mixed with water forms an acid that can eat copper. Medical and dental offices often need RPZs on equipment lines.
Large services also mean large assemblies. A 4 inch domestic RPZ takes more time to test and more water when the relief valve discharges, so the tester checks that the floor drain can handle it.
